As Jesus finishes the Sermon on the Mount, He talks about two kinds of disciples, two kinds of foundations, and two kinds of builders. In order to be a wise builder, you have to build on a good foundation. We need a foundation that will stand firm through the storms of life. If our foundation does not stand, our lives, which are the buildings Jesus is talking about, will collapse. If we are disciple who seeks and loves the truth, who thinks about where their life has been, where it is now, and where it is going in the future, we will build on Jesus, the true and only foundation, with a thoughtful, Spirit guided plan. You will have a life that survives the worst this life, this world, can hurl against you, because Jesus never fails.
